The northern entrance to the canal, with Lefkas Town and Lefkas Marina at the foot of the hills.

  • The canal links the Northern and Southern Ionian. A swing bridge provides access to the Greek mainland. Car hire to Athens is an option for the more adventurous!

  • The canal is approximately 4 nautical miles long and it takes around 30 minutes to transit.

​

  • In the season the bridge opens on the hour, apart from 1pm.
